Dr. Allison Pepich credits her initial interest in veterinary medicine with reading James Herriot’s books detailing his adventures as a rural vet (if you haven’t read them, she highly recommends it!), and continued to pursue that dream. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign both for her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences as well as for her veterinary degree, graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Since that time Dr. Pepich has been employed at a busy emergency and general practice in Schaumburg before coming to North Shore Family Pet Hospital in January 2019.
Dr. Pepich is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Chicago Veterinary Medical Association, and Illinois Veterinary Medical Association. Her interests include dermatology, behavior, senior pet care, and internal medicine. She also loves client education and encourages everyone to ask questions about how to best care for their pet throughout all life stages.
In her free time Dr. Pepich can usually be found with a book in one hand, a cup of tea in the other, and a cat on her lap. Both of her cats (Rose and Sherlock) like to keep her on her toes, so each day is an adventure. Her other interests include arts & crafts and enjoying the outdoors.
