Fear Free Certified

Fear Free Certification

What’s the difference between a Fear Free Certified® Practice and Fear Free Certified® Professional?

Fear Free Certified® Professionals encompass a wide range of roles, including veterinarians, technicians, customer service staff, practice managers, trainers, groomers, and pet sitters. Each of these individuals is responsible for upholding their own certification, and while some veterinary hospitals may have only one certified professional, others might have their entire team certified.

On the other hand, a Fear Free Certified® Practice represents a higher level of commitment, involving the entire team in implementing Fear Free principles across all facets of the practice. This includes creating a Fear Free culture, providing client education, training staff, and enhancing facility and patient experiences. To achieve Fear Free Practice Certification, a practice must meet high standards and undergo an onsite evaluation by a Fear Free Practice Certification Veterinarian, who will assess the implementation of these standards.

Being a Fear Free Certified Practice means we are dedicated to minimizing stress and anxiety for your pets. This certification signifies that members of our team are trained to create a calming, compassionate environment, where every aspect of your pet’s visit is designed to be as stress-free as possible. From gentle handling and effective communication to a soothing facility environment, our Fear Free approach prioritizes your pet’s emotional well-being, ensuring a positive experience for both you and your furry friend. Experience the difference with a practice committed to the highest standards of comfort and care.

At North Shore Family Pet Hospital, we’re proud to integrate Fear Free practices into every aspect of our operations, ensuring a compassionate and stress-free environment for our feline patients.
